Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through trevik.net and through communications that originate from the website, including the contact form.
It does not automatically apply to separate software products, applications, services, or third-party websites that may have their own privacy notices. If a TREVIK product provides a separate privacy policy, that product-specific policy governs the processing described there.
Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect the following categories of information.
Information you provide directly
When you contact TREVIK through the website, we may collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the inquiry type you select;
- the message and any information you choose to include in it; and
- subsequent correspondence relating to your inquiry.
Please do not include sensitive personal data, passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers, confidential credentials, or other information that is not necessary for your inquiry.
Technical and usage information
When permitted by your privacy choices and applicable law, we may collect limited technical and usage information about visits to the website, such as:
- pages viewed and interactions with the website;
- approximate location derived from network information;
- browser, device, operating-system, and screen information;
- referring pages or traffic sources;
- session and engagement information; and
- diagnostic information used to understand website performance and reliability.
We use Google Analytics 4 only in accordance with the consent choices presented on the website. Analytics storage is not enabled before the required analytics consent is provided.
Information collected automatically for security and delivery
Our hosting, network, and security providers may process limited technical data that is necessary to deliver the website, maintain availability, prevent abuse, and investigate security incidents. This may include IP address, request time, requested resource, browser or device information, and security-related logs.
How we use personal data
We may use personal data to:
- receive, review, route, and respond to inquiries;
- communicate with you about a product, partnership, selected custom-software opportunity, or other relevant business matter;
- take steps requested by you before entering into a business relationship;
- operate, maintain, secure, debug, and improve the website;
- understand website usage and performance where analytics consent has been provided;
- prevent fraud, misuse, abuse, and security threats;
- maintain appropriate business and compliance records;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; and
- comply with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, or governmental requirements.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not use contact-form submissions for unrelated mass marketing merely because you contacted us. If we introduce a separate marketing subscription in the future, we will provide the appropriate notice and choice at that point.
Legal grounds and consent
Where applicable law requires your consent, we process personal data on the basis of your express consent and allow you to withdraw that consent in accordance with applicable law.
We may also process personal data where another legal basis is expressly permitted by applicable law, including where processing is necessary to respond to your request, comply with a legal obligation, protect rights and security, or manage a legitimate business relationship.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal or processing that is otherwise permitted or required by law.
International processing and transfers
Some technology or service providers may process information on infrastructure located outside Egypt.
Where personal data is transferred or made accessible outside Egypt, TREVIK will take the steps required by applicable Egyptian data-protection law and any other applicable transfer requirements, including obtaining required approvals, safeguards, or permissions where necessary.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to legal, regulatory, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution requirements.
As an operating standard:
- contact-form and business-inquiry data may be retained for up to 24 months after the last substantive interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for an active business relationship, contract, dispute, legal obligation, or legitimate record-keeping requirement;
- We configure Google Analytics user- and event-level data retention for up to 14 months, subject to Google Analytics settings and the effect of aggregated reports;
- security and technical logs are generally retained for a limited period appropriate to operational and security needs, and may be retained longer when required to investigate an incident or protect legal rights; and
- consent and privacy-preference records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to remember and demonstrate your privacy choice.
When personal data is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it securely.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, unlawful processing, accidental loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
No website, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should therefore use appropriate care when deciding what information to send through the website or by email.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including the right to:
- be informed about the personal data processed about you;
- request access to your personal data;
- request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of personal data where applicable;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- request portability where applicable; and
- be informed of certain personal-data breaches where required by law.
Under applicable Egyptian data-protection requirements, additional rights and procedural rules may apply.
To exercise a privacy right, email contact@trevik.net with enough information for us to identify the relevant data and understand your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Where the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law requires a response within a specific period, we will seek to respond within that applicable period, including the six-working-day response period where it applies.
You may also have the right to submit a complaint to the competent Egyptian data-protection authority.
Children
The website is a general corporate and product website and is not directed to children under 16 years of age.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children under 16 through this website. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us without the authorization required by applicable law, please contact contact@trevik.net so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
Third-party websites and TREVIK products
The website may link to third-party websites, social platforms, stores, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and TREVIK is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
TREVIK products may also have separate privacy notices that explain product-specific processing. Where a product-specific notice applies, it should be read together with, and where relevant takes precedence over, this website Privacy Policy for that product-specific processing.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our operations, our service providers, or applicable legal requirements.
When we make a material update, we will revise the Last updated date above and, where required, provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent.
